Set in the heart of an ancient deer park, Parham House and Gardens is situated on the slopes of the South Downs. The house and gardens have been lovingly restored by the Pearson family who bought Parham in 1922. The main rooms of this peaceful Elizabethan house are the Great Hall, Great Chamber and Long Gallery. These panelled rooms are furnished with beautiful pictures, furniture and needlework and graced with fresh flowers home-grown in the four acre walled garden with its greenhouse, orchard, herb and kitchen gardens and very busy plant sales shop.
Light lunches, cream teas, special events - Parham has something for everyone - even the smallest of us, with a stone Wendy House built into a secret corner of the garden wall! The gardens and house are open between Easter Sunday and the end of September on Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday afternoons, also Tuesdays and Fridays in August. The gardens and restaurant are open from 12.00 until 17.00 and the house is open from 14.00 until 17.00. House & Gardens also open on Saturday 7th July.
