Sussex Country Fair at Parham

For seventeen years now Sussex Country Fair has been synonymous with all day family fun, showcasing the very best of country life that Sussex has to offer. Its combination of local crafts, rural heritage, interactive demonstrations and top quality have a go experiences, has resulted in Sussex Country Fair becoming the premier countryside event in the South of England.

With Parham House providing a picturesque back drop, visitors can enjoy traditional displays and demonstrations from a myriad of local craftsmen and women. The Solent Guild of Wood Turners, the Wealden Guild of Spinners and Weavers, and Chichester based Fox hollow Animal Sanctuary, to mention a few, ensure that locally based craft groups, organisations and charities are all represented.

Whilst perusing the hundreds of trade stands why not sample some of the fine local produce and various culinary rarities in the Countryman Fairs Food Festival; Head Chef, Mark Gilchrist of Game For Everything will be providing visitors with an insight into game preparation and cooking delights. Visitors can take the load of their feet around one of nine arenas and be entertained throughout the day by world class demonstrations.

Central to Countryman Fairs ethos, organisers of Sussex Country Fair, is the encouragement of greater involvement in all aspects of country life and field sports activities. The presence of leading countryside organisations such as the British Association for Shooting and Conservation and the Salmon and Trout Association offer the perfect contact points for information on all field sports. Plumpton College will be providing information on all the courses they offer including Agriculture, Countryside Management and Rural Business Management.
